I am a product of the Georgia public education system.

I attended University of West Georgia for my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a few years after I started teaching, I graduated with my Master's Degree in Instruction from Central Michigan University. This fall I will be graduating from Berry College with my Specialist degree in Leadership.

In my 14 years at Annette Winn, I have attended multiple professional development classes in a variety of areas. Some of these include Eureka Math, reading instruction, math problem solving, Common Core Georgia Performance Standards, Georgia Performance Standards, Science and Social Studies standards, Catching Kids Up, Vocabulary, Differentiation, Learning Focused, Writing Workshop, Co-taught instruction, Math Co-teaching, and many more that will help me in the classroom to best teach your student!

At Annette Winn, I have taught two years of third grade, eleven in fifth grade, and I have also had the opportunity to work with students in grades 3rd - 5th on interventions on Math and Reading. I also have experience with first, second, and fourth grade curriculum and instruction.

Welcome to Annette Winn! This is my 14th year here and I am very excited to get the school year started. I am originally from Ohio, but have been living in Marietta, GA for the last 30 years; so I pretty much consider Georgia my home. Outside of school and my family, I enjoy traveling, shopping, movies, & music, but most of all... watching football. My favorite teams to cheer for are the Atlanta Falcons, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, and the University of Tennessee Volunteers!

I look forward to meeting each of you and working towards a successful year for every student in the classroom!
